Wearing green smocks, goggles, and armed with brushes, a group of school children in Shanghai rush to a fossil excavation site while their parents capture photos of the young explorers. This activity is part of the "Museum Night" program, first launched last year by city officials. During these events, dozens of museums across Shanghai extend their operating hours to include evenings and weekends, offering visitors additional exhibits, lectures, movies, and craft workshops.
