Uganda has emerged as the leading destination for foreign direct investment (FDI) in East Africa, according to recent reports. Chris Baryomunsi, Uganda's Minister for ICT and National Guidance, attributed the surge in investment to the country's stable economic policies, strategic location, and growing infrastructure. This influx of FDI is seen as a catalyst for Uganda's economic growth, positioning the country as a key player in the East African region.
