Uganda has successfully secured a new internet cable route through Tanzania, which is expected to enhance the country’s connectivity and reduce internet costs. Chris Baryomunsi, Uganda's Minister of Information and Communications Technology, stressed that the new route will improve broadband access across Uganda, especially in remote areas. This development is a significant step toward improving Uganda’s digital infrastructure and connectivity in East Africa.
