Jihao Youguo, a 14-year-old girl from Sanchahe Township in Zhaojue County, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, vividly remembers the Spring Festival in 2018, when her family received a very special guest: Chinese President Xi Jinping. During his visit to Jihao Youguo’s home, President Xi asked how the family supported themselves and whether the children attended school. He also encouraged Jihao to sing a song, praising her performance.
