Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on Wednesday for a four-day state visit to Russia.
He will attend celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Xi for the occasion.
Xi’s plane was escorted by Russian fighter jets upon entering the country’s airspace.
At Moscow Vnukovo Airport, he was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and other officials.
