Intelligent machinery and eco-friendly electrical products have been turbocharging China's foreign exports this year. Customs data shows that during the first five months of 2024, items like machine tools, ships, electric vehicles and household appliances accounted for nearly 60 % of the country's total exports. One machine tool maker says they're running all their production lines at full capacity to meet demand from clients in Malaysia.
