Dr. Jean Kaseya, Director-General of the Africa CDC, made the announcement in response to the rising number of Mpox cases across the continent. This declaration aims to enhance the coordination and response efforts among African nations to address the outbreak, improve surveillance, and implement effective control measures to curb the spread.
