The continuous inflow of asylum seekers into Uganda from DRC means the risk of transmission of Mpox is high as refugees seek to cross the border from Eastern DRC where Mpox has been reported in all provinces. Officials and partners within the borders have been trained on how to carry out screening and to identify the cases. No cases have been reported at the border, but the authorities say they will continue maintaining strict hygiene protocols.
