A new round of incentives and policies aimed at increasing electric vehicle sales in Shanghai is driving up numbers at dealerships across the city. Starting in April and lasting until June 30th, customers who trade in their old EV for a new one will receive a subsidy worth about 1,400 U.S. dollars. As a result, car dealers in Shanghai are witnessing EV sales soar, sometimes by up to 40 percent.
