MTN Rwanda has launched biodegradable SIM cards as part of its initiative to reduce plastic waste and promote environmental sustainability. Ritah Umuliza, an MTN Rwanda subscriber, expressed enthusiasm for the eco-friendly alternative. Mapula Bodibe, CEO of MTN Rwanda, highlighted the company's commitment to innovation and responsible practices. The new SIM cards will decompose naturally, aiming to lessen the environmental impact of traditional plastic SIM cards.
