This 180 square-kilometre zone encompasses the Urumqi, Kashgar, and Horgos areas in the western region of the country. The FTZ's forthcoming initiatives involve digitalizing government services, further expanding trade and investment liberalization, enhancing the manufacturing sector, and providing essential financial support. Xinjiang aims to position itself as a pivotal logistics hub along the Europe-Asia trade route, contributing to China's broader economic objectives.
