Chinese farmers transform pests into wealth

While most soybean farmers work to protect their crops from worms, farmers in east China's Lianyungang City are growing soybeans precisely to cultivate the worms. Known colloquially as doudan, these bean-hawk moth-larvae are considered a local delicacy. They're high in protein, low in fat, and expensive when ordered in restaurants. One worm seller said this year's harvest was ample and will fetch a good price at market.
