Egypt Begins Transition to New Administrative Capital

The Egyptian government has initiated the process of moving to the New Administrative Capital, located on the eastern outskirts of greater Cairo. The city, designed to become Egypt's financial and political hub, will house numerous foreign embassies and local government offices. With an estimated cost of 59 billion dollars, the project aims to alleviate congestion in Cairo, a densely populated city of over 20 million residents.
