Uganda’s government eyes dairy farming sector growth

Uganda is eyeing higher growth from its dairy sector as milk production rose to 2.8 billion litres in 2020. Nicholas Masiko is feeding Uganda’s dairy market. His 60 herd of Frisian cattle eat crops like potato vine fodder and hay which he says are highly nutritious to ensure increased milk production. He uses his 70 acres of Land in Western Uganda to grow the feed. But this is costly.
