Sudan's conflict chokes Egypt's exports to Africa

The ongoing conflict in Sudan has choked Egypt's ambitious exports expansion in Africa. Last year, Egypt is estimated to have earned a record 8 billion U.S. dollars, and it has set the export target of 15 billion U.S. dollars by 2025. But the escalating skirmishes between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has forced Egyptian exporters to start looking for alternative ways to access African markets without going through Sudan.
