Suspected serial killer Masten Wanjala escaped from police cells

Suspected child serial killer Masten Milimo Wanjala has escaped from police custody. He is believed to be behind the murders of more than 10 minors. Masten was being held custody at the Jogoo Road Police Station, Nairobi for these crimes.

According to the police reports, at 7am when the officials were taking a roll call, they realized that the suspect was missing. The time of his escape is still unknown but he was expected at the Makadara law courts on Wednesday, October 13, to take a plea.

The alleged murders by the suspect are spread across Nairobi, Bungoma, Kajiado and Machakos. He was arrested in July and confessed to committing the killings then led the police to the crime scenes. 

Police have launched a manhunt of the suspect and urge county officials and patriotic citizens to be on high alert as his accomplices are being traced.
