Matendechere and Musyoka, the Nitakufinya duo, have finally met for the very first time since their viral video was recorded back in 2011. In the video, Musyoka had responded to an interview stating that the careless electric connections in Mukuru Kwa Njenga are dangerous, and people get electric shocks and die from them. He went ahead to show his disabled right hand, claiming that the injuries were a result of an electric shock. Matendechere was displeased by Musyoka’s claims being that he was a beneficiary of the illegal electricity.

After a decade, the two finally made an appearance in an interview with Jalang'o, and both looked fine. Jalang'o promised to award each of them with a motorbike just to try and better their lives. He went ahead to announce that a deal was also secured for the two to be part of an incoming advertisement for a milling company where they would become the brand ambassadors.

Matendechere is a polygamous man. He has two wives and nine children. This is an amazing deal that would turn his life and that of his family around. Musyoka engages in hard labor pulling water vending carts for a living. The unexpected deal will be a relief to him as well.

Their viral clip has been used by many Kenyans to create funny content. Matendechere requested that the money earned from the clip should also be shared with them.

Don’t use my photo or video for free. Even if it's in a comedy skit, include me and we can share the money.”

Mukuru Kwa Njenga has been their permanent residence for the longest time. Matendechere talked about informally settling in the place in 1992.

Companies in Kenya have realized the merits of using internet sensations to advertise their brands. Not too long ago, Charles Odongo, aka Ugali man, landed an ambassadorial role at a betting company after a video of him eating Ugali went viral.
