Religion can generally be defined as the recognition of a supreme authority. The three main religions in the world are Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. The most dominant religions in Kenya
are Islam and Christianity.
Over the past few years, those who subscribe to the Christian faith have come under heavy criticism because of unorthodox practices.
This week the limelight fell on city preacher Reverend Lucy Natasha of Prophetic Latter Glory Ministries International. The overseer received backlash from netizens after her friend and deacon in her ministry came out to claim that she engages in sexual sin and cultism.
In a lengthy post that has been circulating on different social media platforms, a lady by the name Martha Mwihaki Hinga graphically described her ordeal of how she was initiated into the church and even entitled a deacon’s position. In her posts, she claimed that all hell broke loose when Reverend Lucy Natasha tried to hook her up with a visiting Nigerian pastor for a threesome.
The internet went ablaze as a lot of people came to express their disbelief. Others came out to support the matter stating that religion is long dead, and today's church is filled by hypocrites and businessmen.

Derrick Mbugua, the man who mainly contributed to the spread of the news through his Facebook page, has come out to vindicate the preacher. He sent an apology after he realized the lady in question might have used a pseudo account.
‘’Apologies Apologies to one Diana Fumbilwa apparently the lady claiming to be Martha Mwihaki Hinga used this beautiful lady's picture on her social media fake account …It’s evident Martha Mwihaki created the account to with intentions better known to herself. On this Derrick Mbugua platform we shared the plight because we thought it was true. After sharing the episodes, the lady Martha Mwihaki Hinga deleted her social media accounts just after it trended .Very wicked !...To Rev Lucy Natasha Sorry about the all thing May you continue blessing and giving a hand of compassion to people .’’
Reverend Lucy Natasha could not hide her feeling of relief after the apology. She sent a message through her Instagram acknowledging the apology and urged people not to be quick to believe and share falsehoods.
‘’Today has been a tough day as various falsehoods against me were propagated and shared on social media. These lies and misrepresentations should be condemned with the strongest words possible. The apology is well received. It Is my prayer that people out there will not be quick to believe, listen and share falsehoods. I have decided to speak out because this has been a trend. Mostly always been quiet when this happens. But I believe Cyberbullying should be condemned.’’
