Timothy Kimani known professionally as Blessed Njugush and his wife Celestine Ndinda aka Wakavinye are a Kenyan power couple, with a great sense of humor. Before the two came to light, Njugush was the only one acting. Celestine wasn’t as popular as her husband but later venture into acting when Njugush lost his job and they found themselves together in a house...jobless.
The two have been married for four years and blessed with a child, baby Tugi who has also been introduced to the family business of comedy. He recently reached the 100,000 mark on YouTube and is giving his parents a run for their money.
According to Njugush, Celestine fell for him when he had nothing but his sense of humor, she stuck with him through thick and thin and for that, he loves her and will always be in love with her.
" Kutako nikunauwo , bado pia unaninauwo . Eight years lived well. Thanks @celestinendinda thank you so much. Thank you honestly. Asante ile tu ya ukweli (sic)."
The story of their past together gave them the idea of coming up with a project; Through Thick and Thin, a show that tells the story of how fighting for their life and love has not been easy. They use their past experiences together; the ups and downs, the good and the bad times to spread laughter, describe what others are going through as well as encourages people that no hard situation is permanent.
The first time they performed in their show was in 2020 on Valentine’s Day. The show premiered at Garden City Mall where fans showed their overwhelming support by turning up in huge numbers.
With the interruption of the COVID-19 pandemic that brought everything to a standstill with a lockdown, social distancing matters and a curfew, their show cannot be physically hosted this time, so they have created a simple website where one can access the show at a fee of a hundred shillings. This project is doing well so far.
