Popular Churchill Show standup comedian Akuku Danger made a plea to President Uhuru Kenyatta to reconsider his decision of locking up the country so that people can work to survive. This was after he was locked out of his residence in Rongai over failure to pay rent arrears.

According to the comedian, both the curfew and lockdown have heavily impacted the lives of many in a negative way as it has left many suffering without food on their tables. According to him, life has been unbearable over the previous few months because of work limitations due to the pandemic.

On Thursday April 1, a video circulated on social media showing how violently the comedian was being thrown out of his residence. Well, many found this hard to believe considering that April 1, is Fools Day obviously, and thought this to be a prank. According to the Akuku, this was the harsh reality he was facing.

The comedian went ahead to say that ever since the lockdown began in 2020, many have been suffering, trying to make ends meet and that he was among them. Most existing avenues blocked and shows restricted. He stated that what was happening in the video was true and not a prank.

Kenyans are currently going through a rough patch. Having to cope with the existence of a deadly disease is one thing but making attempts to survive with all the sources of income blocked is another. Akuku danger is just one among the many Kenyan artists who are currently suffering because their sources of income which comes from entertainment have been restricted.
