They are a Kenyan rap group featured on this session of SWITCHBOARD with Weke, Flinch and Manasseh. They consist of Seska, Zilla, Reckless and Swat. The name Ethic? Well, they thought it was cool and rolled with it.

How did they start?

Ethic owned a movie shop where they linked up and did a few freestyles. They one day hit the studio and released their first hit song ‘Lamb lolo’ in May last year. It currently stands at over three million views.

They do not want to restrict each other’s level of creativity which explains their unique sound which they say, has no specific name.

Who’s the ladies’, man?... They start a debate between the dreadlocked Reckless and form four leaver Swat… Even in denial, fact remains, they both have a huge girl fan base.
