Equity Bank’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Polycarp Igathe, is living life on the fast lane.
Igathe, who shocked many when he resigned as Nairobi County’s Deputy Governor in January 2018 and went back to the corporate world, is a proud owner of a Bentley Bentayga 2018 model.
This powerful (6,000cc) luxurious car goes for approximately Sh27 million but could go higher depending on customization. To put things into perspective, the Bentayga is owned by 50 people worldwide.
Well, while majority of Kenyans are going through hard times during this Covid pandemic, some folks like Igathe are living life on the fast lane.
A 2018 Kenya Motor Industry Association (KMI) report showed that in the first few months of the said year, only two Bentley Bentaygas were purchased in Kenya.
With a 6000CC engine capacity, the manufacturer says the vehicle or machine if you like, is unlike any other sport utility vehicle in the world. This powerful, all-terrain, all-purpose car offers an exceptional driving experience.
Bentayga brings together outstanding performance and unparalleled levels of luxury on and off the road. Build for all terrain, the vehicle was built for ‘those who desire to see new landscapes and take a fresh look at their world – to see through new eyes.’
Job hopping executive
Igathe was the deputy governor for Nairobi county before leaving the job for a position in Equity Bank as the managing director.
Shortly after, he left his former job at VIVO Energy and is now back at Equity.
Needless to say, he has been described as the ‘job hopping executive’, who is doing well for himself.
