Life working with Sauti Sol
They have an African touch to their style and seem to have good chemistry as well. Crystal Asige alongside Nviiri the story teller are singers from Sol generation, a record label under Sauti Sol.
They met the boy band during their song writing escapades. From there, they all had a chance to work with them and their journey into the music industry began.

We love them already! They have great voices that stand out but what makes them so unique?
Nviiri is one of the brains behind Sauti Sol’s hit song, melanin and some yet to be released songs by the band too. He has been pursuing videography on the side, which was his main hustle before Sol generation. He plans on releasing a song titled, Pombe Sigara.
What is his biggest secret?... He has had just one ex. Ladies, he is a keeper.
Crystal on the other hand is a singer, inspirational speaker and song writer too. She is more of a perfectionist, always editing mistakes made during Sol generation’s jam sessions.
Asige plans on starting a TV program called ‘The Ability show’ that will air on free TV channels. Her biggest challenge as a visually impaired person she says, is anything water sports.
The song extravaganza
We got caught by surprise when the song was released three weeks ago.
The song featured several artists, Sauti Sol, Bensoul, Nviiri the storyteller, Crystal Asige and boy band Kaskazini.
According to Crystal and Nviiri, them the rhumba vibe in the song was inspired by Kenya’s authenticity while the slight trap vibe added, was meant to give it a modernized feel.
The song has been well received across Africa. Kenyans are anticipating more good music in the future.
