In Nkandla, a small rural backyard in KwaZulu-Natal town in South Africa, the area’s most famous resident was preparing to take up his new wife.
The groom happens to be none other than former South Africa president Jacob Zuma, who was preparing to get married for the seventh time. And the lucky bride, 24-year-old Nonkanyiso Conco who is 52 years younger than him.
Unlike most of the so called slay queens around these shores, Nonkanyiso seems to be the beauty and brains type.
She is a director at Nomukhubalwe Culture and Youth Development Organisation based in  Pietermaritzburg,
which is involved in protecting the cultural practices of young Zulu women.
According to media reports, both Zuma and Nonkanyiso’s family had agreed on the bride price of which a percentage had already been deposited.
What’s more, the couple recently welcomed their first born at the Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital. The newly-born becomes Zuma’s 23rd child with the other 22 having been sired with 11 different women.

Strained relationship
Early this year, Nonkanyiso made headlines when an Instagram post she put up was interpreted to mean she was raising her son without Zuma’s help.
I have made peace with that I’ll attend school activities alone, travel the world with him alone and take all responsibilities on raising a boy child and installing best values in his life,” she wrote.
Nonkanyiso’s father was reportedly offended after Zuma allegedly failed to show her family respect by completing all necessary rites for their relationship and the two-year-old child they share. It is also said that the former head of state stopped paying his then fiancée visits.
It has also been reported that Nonkanyiso and her father have had a strained relationship since she got romantically involved with Zuma.
The mother of one moved out of her rented apartment in Zimbali and moved back with her mother who resides in Eastern Cape.
Media outlets have reported that Nonkanyiso has since deleted all photos of Zuma on her social media pages.
Zuma was in office as the president of South Africa for nine years until 2018 when things took a turn for the worse following immense pressure from his party African National Congress (ANC).
