In 2013, singer Linet Munyali better known as Size 8 made a drastic switch; she accepted Christ into her life, rebranded to Size 8 Reborn and ditched secular music for good.
Before turning to gospel, Size 8 was among the big names in the secular music industry who commanded a massive following and earned lots of money in performances and endorsements.
Linet Masiro Munyali, is now a gospel artist best known for her hit single “Mateke”, which was released soon after transitioning from the secular music industry. Another big release is “Afadhali Yesu”.
Now, seven years later, she is a mother of two and the wife of celebrated Gospel music disk jockey DJ Mo. Size 8 is venturing into reality TV which will give her fans a glimpse of her private life.
The TV host recently posted a snippet of her upcoming TV documentary that will touch on her life journey; family, salvation among other aspects from the beginning of her music career to date.
The exact reason I got saved…
She started as a secular artist until 2013 when she jumped into gospel music where she has grown in leaps and bounds ever since.
“Most people to date do not know the exact reason why I got saved, but I will explain that in the documentary. With it, people will be able to understand who Size 8 really is,” she said.
“The kind of music I was doing and the life I was living was a clear indication I could backslide in a day. But here I am, seven years later strong in Christ,” she added.

In the documentary, she speaks about how she made a lot of money but sunk into depression. She also talks about meeting the love of her life DJ Mo among many other things she has had to deal with in her career.
“Life has been a very interesting one, hardship, fame, challenges, sickness, depression, marriage, children, joy, sadness, highs and lows and on top of it all finding salvation.” she wrote.
Adding, “Wow God you have been super amazing. Celebrating your glory your power your faithfulness grace, love and mercy in my life. I am now 7 years in salvation wow look at Jesus.”
Dine with the Murayas
Size 8 and her hubby DJ Mo are set to star in a reality TV show known as “Dine With the Murayas” that will air weekly. She is undoubtedly is one of the most celebrated and sought after gospel artist in the country with over 1.8 million followers on Instagram.
The singer’s salvation came as a relief to her mother especially who, according to Size 8, never fancied her ‘booty-shaking performances’.
