Another celebrity who has come out publically to talk about depression is YouTube sensation Maureen Waititu. She said that mental therapy has helped save her from falling into depression.

Just eight months after she called off her relationship with celebrity gym instructor Frankie Just Gym It, the popular media personality is juggling single motherhood, work life and mental stability. The mother of two young boys previously disclosed that the breakup was really tough on her; it caught her unawares making it difficult to think straight.

“You will have denial, anger, crazy, negotiation and acceptance and go back and forth until the process finishes” she earlier on disclosed.

As for the available medication, they really help; Maureen shared, “When you are really sad, it brings you to normal. The other one helps me sleep and it wears off. I never rest being a single mum of two boys and I work really hard and barely time for myself and I need structure. Whenever I am free, I feel guilty and I need to learn how to slow down.”

There are many factors that cause depression, some of them are actually genetic. It is paramount we take care of our mental health; learn to take it easy especially when the going gets tough.
