Do you think men are dogs?

Men are dogs. We have all come across this hideous statement in our lives, maybe even identified with it. It's mostly said with so much bitterness and venom, dear lord, if statements could kill, this one would. It's a statement uttered by women; bitter women. A bitter woman is one who has had bad experiences in relationships, mostly with men, either directly or indirectly, to the point of generalizing every single male human as a dog. Ladies, it is high time you realize that dogs only go after what attracts them; if you think every man you have dated is a dog, chances are, you only attract dogs.

Ladies are emotional beings who tend to trust their feelings. They see someone they like, they go for them, they fall in love and give it their all; It is no news that once a woman is in love, she becomes irrational. The problem with most ladies though is that they tend to rush things with men. If these things don't work, they force them to, if they blow up, guess what, men are dogs. Ladies, there is a virtue known as waiting. In this waiting, you meet a guy but take time to know him before jumping into a relationship with him. Don’t forget that there is time for everything, the time to find love will come. Guard that little pump; you can't go around giving your heart to every guy you feel a connection with. It is in this process that you meet the wrong people who patch and dispatch your heart, at the end of the day, you don't even have a heart anymore.

Respect men and their hustle! Don't be a leech, go out there and do something; give the man a reason to value you, give support. What gives you the right to dig into a man’s pocket for pennies you haven’t fretted for? Earn the man’s respect by making an effort to support him. You don’t expect a man to respect you when all you do is take, take, take; when there is no aspect in you that stands out. He will get tired and treat you like a property because all he ever does is spend on you.

Women should carry themselves with modesty

Self-worth is really important. Even the bible says that you should love your neighbor as you love yourself; love starts from within. Self-love means respecting and reserving yourself. You don't go around giving yourself to every man that shows interest in you just because you want them in your life. If a man wants to stay with you, he will, you won't have to lower your dignity to keep him. Carry yourself with modesty and let it be known that you don’t come easy, be earned. People tend to value things they have worked hard for; let that be you.

You can't use your body for fun! You can't give anyone and everyone access to your body in the name of living once! Let us quote the bible; your body is a temple. Temples are considered sacred, not everyone gets to enter them and cast their burdens; clean, holy and reserved.  Is that the case with your body? In this YOLO generation, ladies use their bodies to get what they want, sad. Remember this, there are people who will come into your life and take what you have to give and leave; you will be left all by yourself singing, men are dogs.

It’s natural to want one’s relationship to work; everyone wants to belong to someone, to be involved with someone. Wrong relationships can’t be avoided though and we are all bound to be in one before we finally settle down. To the ladies, you don’t owe anyone a relationship! If you are in a relationship that is just not working out, walk. Don’t put up with nonsense all because you are afraid of being single; being in a relationship is not a necessity, no one has ever died of singlehood. If it's not working, it's not working. The more you stay in toxic relationships, the more reasons you get to call all men dogs.

They say there is light at the end of the tunnel; can you see that light or you have completely closed your eyes, you can’t see? Don't let one wrong encounter close the door to your happiness; you deserve to love and be loved. You deserve to be happy. Heartbreaks happen, take time to heal then give love a second shot. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just keep it real. Take time to know a person before finally deciding to settle with them. They say there is power in waiting, maybe it is time you tasted these waters. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time you realized that men are not dog’s they are processors; garbage in, garbage out.
