Ugandan socialite, Zari Hassan decided to finally address the issue of her wealth being inherited rather than hard earned. This comes after her first born son Pinto Ntale was named by his father's clan as the official heir of his late father multi-million-shilling estate and not Zari as speculated by many. This unfolded during the festive season of December 2019. Ntale's uncle confirmed the news of the inheritance to the press recently and it went viral.

…As all people who have come here today see us make Pinto the official heir of Ivan Ssemwanga, I would like to request Dido to carry the picture of his elder brother as the entire clan acknowledges him as the true heir of his father.

In a highly attended clan meeting in Kayunga District, Nakaliro where the late tycoon was buried, Pinto; Ivan Ssemwanga first born son was absent. He was represented by Zari and his two brothers who were in Uganda for the holidays. Zari and the late Ivan had three sons together before they got divorced. The business mogul passed away on the 25th of May 2017 at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa. His funeral followed 5 days later in Uganda.

Zari and the late Ivan before fame

Zari’s post…

The mother of five on her Instagram post made it clear that she hustled alongside Ivan for all they acquired together.

Get your facts right. We hustled all the way up. Go get yourself some inheritance too. It should be easy, right?

In support of her sentiments, Zari even shared with the world a throwback photo of her with the late Ivan back in the days before fame and wealth.

When they call it inheritance, I say we started from the bottom. You all know us after 2020 and not before.

The announcement brought to an end a long battle between Ssemwanga's family and Zari Hassan over the deceased's property. Based on her comments, this is far from over. The drama continues.
