BetKing hands over the newly refurbished Kawangware Community Youth Centre

A leading digital and sports entertainment firm BetKing has handed over a newly renovated Youth Community Centre that will benefit over 5000 Kawangware youths.
The community centre is run by the Dagoretti Youth Welfare Organization, which facilitates hundreds of young women and men who have overcome forms of addiction and a life of crime in Kawangware.
The County Government donated land to the community, the room is approximately 20 square meters, and is a safe place where the community can interact with each other.
Aside from that, it’s an open place for the group where the youth can watch their favourite football matches and support their favourite teams such as Arsenal, Man United, and Manchester City among others.
The game charges are Sh.20 and Sh.50 depending on the game’s prominence. Head of Marketing Kenya Jackie Tonui said that the newly refurbished community will provide a habitable joint for the youth in Kawangware.
“Today we had a newly renovated community youth centre to Dagoretti Youth Welfare Organization. We believe the new structure will go along to support the youths in Kawangware and enjoy their local and international matches.
The welfare will also be able to generate cash for their projects and support the jobless youth here, this is part of BetKing’s greater community support agenda to ensure that we impact the lives of the communities we live in, and the plan is to roll out similar initiatives to all parts of the country,” Jackie said.
She also added; “BetKing will partner with the Dagoretti Youth Welfare Organization to enhance the current viewing structure which has seen wear and tear over the years and has been damaged with significant road construction taking out a portion of its structure. We anticipate the groundbreaking to be commissioned this week as a start to deriving brand trust and relevance,” she said.
The chairman of Dagoretti Youth Center Ramadhan Hasidi appreciated the donation from BetKing saying it will help accommodate the recovering youth and support the local community.
“This center has been the home to many abandoned youths who are in recovery. It provides a recreational and sports center for them, a place to gather as a community. We appreciate this handsome donation from BetKing that will help renovate this place and make it more habitable and make a huge difference in the daily lives of the individuals,” he said.
