New Nokia Smartphones: Nokia 3.4, Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 8.3 5G respectively

The Nokia 8.3 5G is equipped with four rear cameras, a 64mp (megapixel) main camera, a 12mp and two of 2mp cameras, with a 24mp selfie camera. According to the unveiling ceremony, the cameras can record up to 4K video quality hence the ‘cinema style’ claim by the Finnish Company. The Nokia phone's display is a 6.8 inch high Definition (HD) screen. The phone is equipped with a ‘Snapdragon 765’ processor, which is one of Qualcomm’s mid-upper range processors. In Kenya, the 64 gigabytes verison of the phone will  cost  around Sh. 63,000.

The other two phones are a midrange and an entry level smartphone targeted at the younger crowd and new smartphone users. The midrange Nokia 3.4 and the entry level Nokia 2.4 are expected to cost around Ksh20,000 and Ksh16,000 respectively. While having no features that standout from competitors, Florian presented these two phones as a “simple yet practical tool for the regular smartphone user.” Eager customers will however have to wait for the phones to arrive into the African market within a month or so.

Nokia seems to be battling with another tech giant, Samsung who have flooded the midrange market with affordable phones. Samsung’s ‘Galaxy A series’ smartphones are popular in Africa and will prove to be difficult for Nokia to overtake.
