Early this year, Tanzanian musician Benard Paul Mnyang’anga aka Ben Pol filed for divorce from his wife Anerlisa Muigai. This came barely a year after their wedding. Since then, it had been confirmed that the divorce proceedings had begun at a court in Mwanzo, Tanzania.

Divorce is the process of terminating a marriage or marital union. Divorce usually entails the canceling of the legal responsibilities of marriage, thus dissolving the bonds of matrimony between a married couple under the rule of law of the particular country or state. The most commonly reported major contributors to divorce were lack of commitment, infidelity, and conflict.

Speaking during an interview, Ben Pol revealed that the divorce process was on. In the interview, he revealed that he did his best during the marriage, and it was God’s plan for them to separate. He spoke about receiving a warning letter from Anerlisa and claimed it was baseless and that she did that out of panicking.

He further revealed that the only thing he regrets was ignoring his gut feelings and obvious red flags during the relationship. Ben Pol also claimed that the marriage was a bit rushed and there were lots of mixed feelings. He explained that Anerlisa’s relatives were not in attendance since the boarders were closed due to the Covid pandemic.
