The London derby is always a battle of passion and pride

Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 29th November coming from an early qualification to the knockout round in the Europa League. Spurs are no slouches themselves as they also come from a Europa League win and next round qualification.

In fact, these two English Premier League giants are the most in-form teams in London right now. Tottenham are sitting on top of the table with 20 points, a tie with EPL title holders, Liverpool.

Spurs beat Manchester City (2-0) last weekend and seem to still be buzzing with excitement ready to take on Chelsea. Chelsea on the other hand beat Newcastle by the same score line (2-0) last weekend and will sure be looking to maintain their form.

The other Premier League giants in London, Arsenal have failed to finish above either Chelsea or Tottenham for four seasons now.

So what do we need to know about this mammoth of a fixture before it begins? The winner in this fixture will move to the top of the league table for at least a day. That is, if Liverpool fumble their way to a loss or draw at Brighton’s turf on Saturday.

The blues and Spurs have previously met this season in a Carabao Cup match which ended on a 1-1 draw and a Tottenham win via penalties. Will we see a repeat of a Spurs win? It would be unusual but refreshing to see Tottenham stay at the top of the English Premier League table for long.

While we expect an exciting match overall, the specific players to watch in this fixture are Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech and Spurs’ Son Hueng-Min.

Ziyech has been on brilliant form since adopting to the England’s Premier League playing style. So far he has three assists and one goal, in five appearances for Chelsea.

Son on the other hand has had nine goals and two assists in nine matches for Spurs. We expect these two wingers to play a big role in influencing the game’s result.

The game kicks off at 7:30 pm local time. Which team are you supporting? What’s your prediction for the final score line?
