Its all going down in Machakos this weekend

This season the stakes are high unlike in the past. With a higher number of teams, the competition is stiff.

Machakos County will host The Lower Eastern Regional finals this coming weekend. The matches will be played on the 8th and 9th of February at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos town.

2019 champions, Super Solico and St Mary’s Ndovea were both eliminated in the preliminaries, paving way for new winners to be crowned.

In the boys semi-final, Black Panther from Meru, St. Daniel’s High school from Chuka, Tumaini Secondary School from Makueni and Moyale’s Biashara FC will battle it out. In the girls semis, Talents from Makueni, the season one regional champs, will face Chuka University Starlets, Isiolo Queens and Maabuu Queens from Moyale.

Every game is an opportunity

Ksh 200,000 is up for grabs for the victorious teams and an opportunity to represent the regions at the nationals. The winners will then play in the finals set for the 6th and 7th of June 2020.

At the National event, winning teams, both boys and girls will pocket a cool Ksh 1 million plus the best part which is a 10 day training camp in the home of La Liga Spain. Losing finalists award willl be a relativelt paltry Ksh 100,000.

Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom is one of the few tournaments that gives Kenyan youth aged between 16-20 years an opportunity to showcase their talents in the hope of transforming their lives. by earning from football which to many in this part of the world is their passion.
