Ali Kiba and Diamond Platnumz have been trying to be ‘diplomatic’ with each other and putting up a fake front for years now. The friction between these two Tanzanian singers seems to be getting hostile by the day. Harmonize and Ali Kiba organized a concert and Diamond mocked their efforts saying that the event was only a success because they slashed the ticket prices if it was his event, fans would have paid up.
Issa Azam, Ali Kiba’s elder brother revealed his love for the Tetema hit maker during an interview in Tanzania. The man has been beaten up twice by his brother’s fans for supporting the enemy and ignoring family. He sustained serious injuries and that is when their relationship with Platinumz started blossoming. Issa said the superstar 'recognized' him by a mention in one of his songs and has on several occasions booked flights for him to watch the performer sing. His allegiance to the enemy came with its consequences. It alienated him from relatives as he was considered a traitor within the family.
…When it came to choosing teams I had to follow my heart. I am a man of the people so obviously many will follow me, which did not go well with Ali's fans. Diamond heard I was being beaten by some Alikiba people. He sent me to the Ne-yo concert, on a flight, when he came to Tanzania…
Issa claimed Diamond was more than a brother and if anyone armed with any form of weapon tried to harm the star, he would shield him and go down first. Despite their feuds he said his brother should help promote the talents of Kigoma Street.
In his defence Issa said he was a fan of both artists before they became arch rivals and revealed he decided to side with the WCB CEO since he was more fair to him than his brother. He appreciates Diamond’s club bangers, his swagger and down to earth personality as opposed to his brother who is too proud.
DNA is irreplaceable however time and time again people keep proving it’s a free world and blood doesn’t necessarily mean family.
