Khaligraph Jones Dismisses Netizens for Making YouTube Comparisons with Tanzanian Artists

Renowned rapper Khaligraph Jones has remarked that he doesn’t wish to be compared to Tanzanian musicians who have recently been setting new records on YouTube.
This comes after Harmonize's new song ‘Attitude’ that featured Awilo Longomba got over 4 million views in two days a repeat of what happened when Diamond Platnumz released his collabo with Koffi Olomide. This got netizens talking, questioning Kenyan music and why Kenyan artists were not setting such records. One particular comment suggested that some of Kenya's biggest artists should come together, record a major track that will break Tanzania's record.

Khaligraph stated that Kenyans need to stop criticizing and start recognizing the efforts that Kenyan artists have put in place. He made reference to his latest track ‘LUKU’ which according to him is doing well so far, and he is comfortable.

Willy Paul: It is sad how Kenyans criticize their own artists
Not too long ago, musician Willy Paul said that seeing Kenyans make fun and compare their own artists to those from other countries at the expense of enriching the outsiders was saddening.
“I see how people are making fun of their own. So sad ??, but this is Kenya so lazima uzoe hizi tabia. Kimbia na pace yako, don't do something coz nani amefanya.. utapasuka msamba! Kama msani usiwai jiwekea pressure kama hizi. Yes work hard but don't torture urself. Na mambo zingine. Izi ndio vitu zimefanya wasani wetu wanakimbia kununua views, pressure hizi mafans wanawaekea. Don't make fun of ur own manze, we work so hard to keep you entertained. Ya Mungu ni mengi.. alafu kumbuka wanao kudharau siku moja watu kusalimia kwa heshima!
