Jeff Koinange has lost his sense of taste
Jeff Koinange has come out to share his experience with Covid -19 two days after testing positive. He disclosed his experience on his weekly show JKL, that was hosted yesterday by Victoria Rubadiri. Jeff revealed that he may have gotten the virus at Hot96 from a colleague that tested positive. He was called by his boss Wachira Waruru after a collegue he had contact with tested positive.
The TV host cum radio presenter said that he felt okay and displayed no symptoms.
“If really feel good. I’m asymptomatic according to the test which means that I am positive but showing no symptoms. I am okay. The only thing I’m showing is lack of taste. I have lost a sense of taste. It comes and goes. Luckily for me, my family, my wife and son have both tested negative. If you ask me where I got it, it is probably at the radio station because someone at Citizen tested positive and they were asked who they had come into contact with and I was one of them.” The media mogul said.
Koinange's revealed his status to help fight stigma
Jeff said that his decision to go public about his status was so that people could know that the virus is real and nobody is immune to it. His announcement was also to help fight the stigma faced by Corona Virus victims.
“People out there are scared to death because they think once they have tested positive they will die.It is not the case, ninety percent of the people will pull through and that’s why I went public.” He told Victoria Rubadiri.
Jeff further stressed the importance of boosting one’s immunity system. He said that he has been taking lots of herbal concoction and he seems to getting better.
The virus originated from Wuhan China and has seen Kenya get close to the15,000 mark since the first case was recorded in March 2020.
